I have a joyful update to share—Maggie’s Book Buddies, our new monthly kids book subscription box, is now open for sign-ups!

This project has been such a joy to create. Each month, kids ages 4–12 will receive a brand-new children’s book featuring sweet characters like Maggie and her buddies, along with fun extras like crayons, activity pages, and more!

If you know a child who loves stories and surprises in the mail, I’d love for them to join the Maggie's Book Buddies club!

Writing Tip of the Week: Keep It Simple, Keep It Sweet

When writing for children—or writing as someone who teaches, encourages, or entertains—simplicity is your strength.

• Use short sentences, concrete examples, and familiar words.
• If a child (or a distracted reader!) can understand and enjoy it, you’re doing it right.

Whether you're writing books for kids or captions for busy adults, your words don’t have to be fancy to be meaningful. Keep it clear. Keep it kind. Keep it you.

Inspiration for the Journey
